Hi my name is Mike (owner/ DJ) and Serotone Audio and Events is happily run by my wife, Alissa, and me. 

Alissa keeps everything running smoothly on the business side, while I’m the one behind the decks — the “master behind the music,” as she likes to say — and a self-proclaimed audio enthusiast.

When we’re not working, you can usually find us hanging out with our six dogs or spending time with my daughter. And even in those moments, I’m constantly exploring new music.

My passion for sound goes back as far as I can remember. I grew up teaching myself music production and even writing and producing my own songs.

Most of my adult life has been spent working as an EMT and in other medical roles, but my heart has always been pulled toward the beauty and power of music. 

After Alissa and I got married in 2025, we felt inspired to share one of my favorite things with others — the experience of great music, and how meaningful the right song choices can be on someone’s special day.

Throughout my own musical journey, I’ve learned not only the technical side of audio engineering, but also how deeply music affects us.
That’s the heart of Serotone Audio: bringing those bold, authentic emotions to life — whether it’s 80s classics, today’s top hits, or some good ol’ Texas country.

How It Started

When we planned our own wedding, we were excited about the music. We had thoughtfully chosen songs that mattered to us and imagined how each moment would feel. While the day itself was beautiful, the music didn’t always reflect what we had carefully requested, and some moments missed the mark.

That experience stuck with us—not as frustration, but as clarity.

It showed us how meaningful it is when someone truly listens, understands the couple’s vision, and treats every song choice and transition with care. That realization became the foundation for Serotone Audio.

Meet Mike

Mike is the DJ and creative lead behind Serotone Audio. With a lifelong passion for music and audio production, he approaches every event with intention and awareness. Rather than relying on generic playlists or over-the-top performance, Mike focuses on listening closely, reading the room, and building an experience that reflects each couple’s unique style.

His goal is simple:

to make sure the music you care about is heard, respected, and placed where it matters most.

Meet Alissa

Alissa is the organizational heartbeat of Serotone Audio. She manages timelines, oversees audio logistics, and ensures the day flows smoothly from one moment to the next. Her attention to detail allows couples to stay present, knowing someone is quietly making sure nothing is overlooked.

From ceremony audio to reception pacing and vendor coordination, Alissa helps create a seamless experience—often before anyone realizes there was even something to manage.
